Mossai Sanguma grew up in a Christian family. His parents were both involved with leadership positions in the Christian community. Mossai attended a Christian high school, where he was involved in a music ministry, writing more than 20 worship songs. Near the end of his high school years, a visiting pastor jolted Mossai into realizing that he had not truly given his life to Christ. After coming to faith, God expanded Mossai’s ministry skills to include evangelization, teaching and administration. He received a degree in theology and taught at both the secondary school and college levels, as well as pastured in the local church.
He received his Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary as a Langham Scholar. He is currently the president of the Covenant Church of Congo (CEUM) and professor at Université Protestante du Congo (UPC).
