Many scholars and friends with whom JSM partners in the efforts to grow God’s Kingdom in the Majority World have faced daily the trials of political unrest in their countries. Recently, the need for prayer has grown exponentially in places such as Kenya, Lebanon and India, where JSM scholars are struggle daily to work in a safe community.
Recent prayer requests include:
• Seminaries such as the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST) in Kenya, at which scholars, professors, and their families struggle with travel, food supplies, and communication.
• The recently remodeled campus of the Christian Alliance Institute of Theology (CAIT) in Lebanon was destroyed in a bombing.
• Families are experiencing stress and anxiety as security remains vulnerable and political situations weaken.
• Christian churches and their congregations – specifically in both Kenya and in the Kandhamala District of Orissa, India – continue to be a focus of attack.
Please take a few moments to visit the JSM prayer request page for specific details and requests from scholars and friends in these volatile areas.
